Making a Difference in Our Communities

While there are many great programs designed to fight poverty and meet physical needs of our communities, we believe God brings hope to the world through the local church. Our Local Missions projects help every life-giving Seacoast campus fight poverty, seek justice and offer hope to the hurting in their neighborhoods and reach their communities with the Gospel of Christ.
Hope

Hope Through the Church

God certainly honors the work of compassionate, good-hearted volunteers, but we seek to raise up and deploy laborers for God’s kingdom – those who desire to introduce people to Jesus by loving their neighbors as themselves.
Love

The Love of Jesus

We best demonstrate the love of Jesus by equipping the church to serve the homeless and vulnerable children and families by creating clear pathways for engagement and partnership.

Love your neighbor as yourself.
Faith

The Work of the Gospel

When we meet physical, mental and emotional needs of our communities by fighting spiritual and physical poverty, we open the door for the Gospel to take root. We don’t just want stability for people, but we want them to experience abundant life in Christ.
'For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’

Matthew 25:35-36

Many Seacoast families struggle to meet basic needs. When families reach out to our Pastoral team for assistance, we have a unique opportunity to come alongside them in their time of crisis. Increasing our benevolence fund will allow us to serve those in need at all campuses.

Pray for our pastors to have wisdom and compassion as they provide assistance and counsel to families in need. Pray for the families to see God’s love and provision and that he will break the cycle of poverty.

Multiple Campuses

Bringing e3 mentoring to more campuses

The E3 Mentoring Program helps create life-giving and empowering relationships between a mentor and child. Leaders are matched one-to-one with students (grades 6 – 12) to personally pour into their lives and help them chase their dreams.

Students are mentored in academics, life skills, and service. Their efforts are recognized and rewarded with unique travel opportunities. Many students participate in the life of the church, and several former students are now thriving leaders in our campus community.

Local law enforcement attributes much of the positive change (the dramatic lowering of crime and the increased high school graduation rate) in North Charleston over the last decade to the influence of the Seacoast Dream Center and E3 Mentoring.

Currently, 83 students participate in the program.
